My dear friend's daughter turned 2 just before Christmas and I offered to make her a Dora cake (because she looks like Dora the Explorer). I originally wanted to make a 2-tiered cake decorated with all the wonderful things from Dora's world. Unfortunately my little baby was hospitalised from a bad asthma attack so I had a last minute change of design.
Only the body is made out of cake. Head, arms and legs are all fondant.
This cake doesn't look a lot like Dora because her hair is a little flat (Dora has BIG hair) and the skin is the wrong colour. Oh well.. that's what you get for decorating at 3am! LOL ;)
