Lavenders & Pearls

This photo received the "Top Cupcake Award" from Wedding Stand website.
The writer, John Cuthberg, sent me an email saying 'Your cupcake tower is one of the best I came across in my painstaking search for the best cupcake towers online'.
Wow! That is truly an honour! Thanks John.

KFC bucket cake

The perfect birthday cake for KFC lovers!
The bucket is a Hazelnut cake filled with Nutella ganache. Chicken pieces are made out of fondant icing and hand painted to create that 'fried chicken' look. Hand painted Colonel Sanders logo on the side. Enjoy!!! ;)

Arsenal jersey & Soccer ball

Arsenal team jersey is carved out of Orange Poppyseed cake, Soccer ball is Chocolate cake filled with choc fudge buttercream. Yumm! The 'grass' were piped green buttercream.
I thoroughly enjoyed decorating the soccer ball. Most people who have made this before said it was really hard to decorate and can take hours to get all the shapes right. It took me about 30 minutes to decorate (minus all the procrastinating and pottering around..)
I can't wait to make another soccer ball. It really satisfied my love for jigsaw puzzles :)

The 19th Hole

I found a template for a beer label and personalised it to suit the birthday boy. Took me a whole night to get everything right but well worth it in the end. Here's the label..

AFL fan

Sherrin football cake for a Melbourne Demons fan.
This was a last minute cake order. The lady rang me at 5pm on Friday and wanted this for a 3pm party on Saturday! I was reluctant at first but glad now that I said yes. This was a really fun cake to decorate.
Everything is edible

Shoe cake

Birthday cake for a shoe-lover. The birthday girl just bought a house with a closet/wardrobe like Carrie Bradshaw's in the SATC movie, complete with halogen lights and a wall of shoe rack! I'm green with envy... :P
Shoe is made out of fondant. Shoebox made out of Lemon buttercake layered with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream. Yum....

Hazelnut cake moistened with Frangelico syrup (yummo!) and filled with creamy Belgian chocolate ganache (yumm yumm yumm...).

I made this for my sister's birthday but decided in the 11th hour to add a second tier and change the design completely (see Fifi's cake for the final result)

Computer cake

A cake for my nephew, who is ALWAYS plastered in front of the computer. I tried to incorporate as much of his likes and daily routines as possible; such as the Love Hina japanese anime comics, 'practice violin!' and 'pick up takeaway' sticky notes his mum always sticks on his door, and Power Rangers colouring book (he used to dress up as a Power Ranger as a kid).
